I just started growing wheatgrass. It’s very easy. Sprinkle some seeds in soil, keep it moist for 3-4 days, and you’ll have a fresh bed of wheatgrass. You can cut it once it gets to be about 7 inches tall.
I noticed that the my seed package described wheatgrass as “Liquid Sunshine.” I decided to look into this. These articles explain why. They also describe the crazy nutrients and health properties of wheatgrass (although its likely that wheatgrass proponents tend to exaggerate a little).
I love wheatgrass.

Miguel’s dad jokingly refers to our vegan food as “rabbit food,” even though we usually make very meaty-tasting tacos when visit his family. After I made this drink, I laughed thinking that this is the ultimate rabbit food. He would be amused.
Seriously though, this drink was delicious. It was very pulpy…so if you’re the type who always buys pulp-free orange juice, it probably isn’t for you. If you don’t mind a thick, pulpy, green shake with lots of nutrients…try it. It’s good.
